About Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation and healing through touch. Rei, meaning spiritual wisdom, and Ki, meaning life energy, combine to make Reiki, spiritually conscious life force energy. Ki, in other cultures called Chi or Prana, and in science, called a Biofield, is the non-physical energy that animates all living things, and the energy that departs when the living thing dies.
Life energy, Ki, flows through the energetic pathways, chakras, meridians and aura, into the organs, tissues and cells of the body. When the flow of Ki is disrupted, energetic blockages result, and the organs, tissues and cells of the physical body can diminish in function, eventually causing illness. Ki includes thoughts, feelings, conscious, subconscious, soul and spirit. Reiki works with negative thoughts, emotions and vibrations and replaces them with healthy and positive ones. Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energetic pathways of the body, causing negative energy to break apart, burn up, melt or fall away, and allowing healthy Ki to flow naturally. Ki then flows smoothly and steadily into the organs, tissues and cells of the body, enabling them to function properly and healthily.
Reiki is used all over the world. It originated in Japan and now is practiced all over the US, including over 800 hospitals. It has been proven in hospital studies to decrease recovery time from surgery, improve mental attitude, reduce unwanted side effects, increase sleep, reduce pain, reduce nausea, reduce anxiety, heal emotional trauma, improve memory and improve self-confidence.
Reiki healing can help physically by relieving aches, pains, soreness, and by increasing mobility in the body. Mentally and emotionally, Reiki can help relieve anxiety, depression, overwhelming and bring about calm, inner peace and clarity. Spiritually, Reiki can help increase connection to your higher self, your higher power, and increase feelings of oneness with the Universe.
